  1. Thanks for trying my Delphi File Manager Aware controls!
  2.  
  3. These controls will let you easily integrate with the Windows
  4. File Manager to accept, via drag and drop, a list of file names.
  5. I've shipped you two .DCU files that you should install in Delphi.
  6. These are fdedit.dcu and fdmemo.dcu.  Go to the Options-Install Components
  7. and Add the .DCU files to your environment making sure to keep all of the
  8. files I've sent in the same directory.
  9.  
  10. I've also provided help text files that you can use to
  11. read about these components. You can install the help text into 
  12. Delphi through the HelpInst app to allow you to integrate my help 
  13. with that of Delphi's.  Perhaps some day I'll figure out how to do this
  14. automatically.

  16. FDTEST is a sample application you can run to see the controls in action.
  17. You can also use the source as a basis for your work if you so desire.
  18.  
  19. In the near future, I hope to be adding a few more file manager aware
  20. controls.

  22. The non-shareware version gets rid of that ever-so-annoying message box that
  23. pops up when you use the components.  Please register your copy thru
  24. CompuServe and freely distribute this shareware version to one and all.
